Perfo Sound, Tampere, Finland

The night I arrived in Finland, the wind was blowing heavily and the woman driving me to a remote farmhouse an hour from Tampere was telling me that wolves had been seen in the area.

I thought of Vera Hall’s haunting song Wild Ox Moan as we drove through the dark. As part of an evening of sound in Tampere, I fused the song with the amplified sound of air rushing from an unfurling ribbon.
